TRAVELLING TO CANADA - New Rules

The Government of Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), for certain international travellers when they fly to Canada.

Under eTA, citizens from countries other than the United States (U.S.) who do not need a visa to enter Canada will need to obtain an online authorization before flying to Canada.

From August 1, 2015, eligible travellers can apply online for an eTA. On March 15, 2016, this entry requirement will become mandatory and travellers will need an eTA before they can board a flight to Canada.

ATOL stands for Air Travel Organiser's Licence and is backed by the UK Government. By booking with an ATOL protected company you can feel safer in the knowledge that you will not lose money or become stranded abroad if your travel company collapses.

Therefore, when booking a holiday, always check that you have been provided with an ATOL certificate.

FLYING TO THE USA - NEW RULES

** Flying to the US? Rules have changed, your ESTA may be invalid. **

The rules changed on 1 April 2016, meaning that you can't enter the US on an ESTA unless you have an e-passport. E-passports contain a chip and will have the symbol on the front cover.  For more information click on the this link
